Description

1859 1/2 Gr. plate I, white paper (PA) orange (arancio), left-hand mint sheet marginal block of twenty-five (5 x 5), showing very large to close margins all round, some natural ink flaws by centre, a couple of slight gum tones, remaining highly attractive.

An outstanding mint multiple, one of the largest recorded and an important exhibition showpiece.
