1857 Emblems, 1s Pale Green Extremely Rare Mint Block of Four

An exceptionally rare and important multiple, this mint block of four retains large part original gum, with one stamp remaining unmounted (never hinged) and only minor hinge remnants on the upper pair. The block is well-centred and fresh, featuring a wide interpanneau margin at left, a highly desirable positional characteristic.

According to Galland & Louis, only two other mint blocks of four are recorded, underscoring the extraordinary rarity of this multiple.
