1856 (12 May) Wrapper from Leeds to Italy, bearing 1847–54 6d Dull Lilac strip of four (left stamp slightly shaved at top, otherwise clear to large margins) plus 2d Blue, Plate 5 (fault at foot). All tied by Leeds sideways duplex cancels, with Calais transit below. Pays double the 1s1d rate to the Austrian Dominions under the 1855 Anglo-French Convention. Reverse with London and Milano arrival backstamps. Very fine and attractive multiple on cover.
