Lot 50766 – 1844-84 group of 10 Scottish covers to overseas destinations

1844-84 group of 10 Scottish covers to overseas destinations, some to Asia, with 1d and 2d ‘star’ plus 6d lilac to Kandy, Ceylon (a lovely 3 colour franking), 1884 2 1/2d lilac pair also to Kandy, 1868 to Hong Kong with 4d and 1/- and 1847 stampless to Manila. Also 1d and 2d ‘star’ plus 6d to Alexandria, 2 x 1862 1/- green to Lima, Peru and scarce 1855 to Melbourne with from Stromness, Orkney Islands with numerous markings but unfortunately one 2d stamp added later. A fine group.
