1856 Wmk Medium Garter 4d carmine on thick highly glazed paper in stunning mint block of six with large part original gum, wonderfully fresh and extremely rare, believed to be the largest and finest surviving multiple in private hands. A major exhibition showpiece and one of the great rarities of the surface printed era, ex Hind (1934) (SG £84’000 as single stamps).
