1842 (Nov 7) entire letter to Preston, bearing 1840 2d. blue pl.1 LJ in combination with 1841 2d blue pl.3 SK, paying the 4d rate up to 2oz, each with good to large margins and cancelled by black Maltese Crosses; a great rarity with this mixed issue franking and an exhibition showpiece; cert. RPS (1978).
