1840 1d black pl.7 RC with fine to good margins on cover from Glasgow (Scotland) to London tied by red MC, re-directed to Paris and showing “10d + 1/8d = 2/6d” in manuscript, “P-D” oval in red and London Paid tombstone which partially ties the adhesive, as does a French transit strike in red. A trifle soiled, a very scarce example of a 1d black cover going abroad.
