Description

1840 1d black pl.5 TL marginal imprimatur from the first registration sheet (before hardening) showing the plate number “5” in the corner and part of the margin inscription, “… ove the Cement.”; extremely large margins on the other sides; tiny pin hole under queens chignon not detracting from the magnificent appearance. A fine and highly important imprimatur of exhibition quality.
