6 Parale carmine red, on wove paper, amazing marginal block of five in extremely fine condition, all neatly cancelled by three clear strikes of the GALATZ/23.6 cds, on 1864 cover to Berlad, with arrival bs. Cert. Gmach AIEP (2024).

An outstanding usage of this block of five. This stamp otherwise only exists used as strips or singles to make the 30pa letter rate. It is the only recorded block of this stamp. This unique usage on cover belongs to the top five items of the 1862-64 issue. A major rarity of Romania.
