Italian Colonies: 1890-1940, an advanced mint collection mainly mounted on album pages and on few small stock albums, with numerous better sets and values, most of them in infrequent unmounted condition, including Eastern Africa 1942 airmail field post value in green and red imperf. at base, scarce airmail sets in other territories, better early values also never hinged (usual centring), Libya with better “Pittorica” values n.h., Tripolitania displaying 1925-26 1.25L with 13 1/2, Somaliland including 1934 official airmail 25c in an unmounted mint marginal example; 1934 official airmail “Coroncine” set of four featuring four colonies (never hinged and with two marginal examples), a remarkable number of scarce parcel stamps and postage dues from various territories, etc. A small section of foreign P.O.’s is represented in one of the small stock albums, in these mainly containing duplicates or blocks of four from the colonies. An uncommon lot comprising some interesting and scarce issues, predominantly in very fine condition. Several certificates from renowned Italian experts are accompanying scarce sets and values.
