Description
Proof overprint in blue for the 5-line format of the low values: Single proof from the Stereo Setting 1 and Row 2, on thin whitish paper, very fine and rare. Hibernian PR1; €1’200+. Cert. Hamilton-Bowen (2001).
Provenance: Marquis of Bute.
Note: Only proofs from rows 1 & 2, hence 24 examples are recorded as being in the hands of collectors. It is thought that the 96 others from the pane of 120 were retained by Dollard.
