1928 a special commemorative postcard produced by the Aero Philatelic Club of India, Calcutta, with purple aeroplane cachet “Doisy and Carol” and additional red cachet “Plane crashed at Akyab 16th May, 1928”. Postcard franked with 1/2a green tied by Calcutta GPO datestamp with purple “Consulat General de France, Calcutta, sent to Rangoon, signed on back by Stephen Smith; a very fine and scarce airmail postcard, with only 121 carried and an uncertain number signed by S. Smith.
