Lot 10575 – Mexico 50c +25c engraved bicolor cover

Mexico 50c green, fine to very large margins and 25c orange, damaged (both consignment #120-1866) both engraved, on cover to Veracruz dated December 5, 1866, tied by “FRANCO / MEXICO” cds. A very rare usage as engraved stamps appeared at the very end of the issue so covers are very scarce, with very few surviving with the 50c stamp let alone in a two-colour combination.
