Lot 10549 – Mexico 25c orange lithographed “Mexico Name Only” sheet

Mexico 25c orange lithographed “Mexico Name Only” sheet of 70, well margined all around and very fresh, pos. 5 with retouch, pos. 17 with dot over “S” of “Correos”, pos. 30 retouch on “C” of “Correos”, pos. 51 “MFXICANO”, pos. 61 with break in upper frame. Vertical crease as usually found and in superb state of preservation for such a large multiple. Most likely the unique complete sheet of lithographed 25c.

Note: These stamps without the consignment number but with the gothic Mexico overprint were issued in exchange for Eagle stamps at the beginning of the issue. 7,227 stamps of the 25c value were issued.
