Lot 10520 – Guanajuato 50c lithographed three color multiple on piece

Guanajuato 50c green lithographed multiple (three pairs + single consignment #47-1866), 13c blue (consignment # 83-1866) and 25c buff (consignment #92-1866) , all well margined except for one pair of 50c green cut into at left, all used on large wrapper piece. One 50c stamp shows the “Noodle on the Nose” flaw. A remarkably high three-color franking and probably the only recorded from three different consignments; the $3.88 rate ranks among the highest known for this issue. Cert. Jaretzky (1998).
