1847 (April 1st). Entire letter from Mexico City to Madrid, sealed “Paquete de La Coruña”, with Italic “Islas De/Barlovento.” (P.E. 2) and “9Rs.” markings applied in transit at Corunna. Interesting contents including the General Santa Anna, the Battle of Saltillo and the Siege of Veracruz, referring to the American-Mexican War which broke
