Description
(1843) “Bull’s Eyes” 60r, Sperati’s glass support cliché black on brown, exceptional definition of design, an important working example illustrating Sperati’s craft. Only 15 glass clichés are recorded for all “Bull’s Eyes”, all for the 60r denomination; no clichés or matrices are found in the Musée de la Poste of Paris, and the B.P.A. does not mention any matrix or cliché for Brazil in its book. Additional scans and images are being uploaded on a continuous basis.
