Lot 30151 – 1873, 2 sen yellow type III tied early non-standard on cover

1873, 2 sen yellow, type III, tied by early non-standard oval framed “Sakai ken” hs on reverse of cover (opened for display and reinforced along folded edge) to Ako (Harima province), alongside showing transit of Osaka with N1B1 6.9.25 cds (Sept. 25, 1873). On obverse large red framed “.. 9.25 Izumi Province Sakai Postal Agency” postmark. Stamp separated with scissors on three sides. An appealing usage.
