Lot 30694 – Unofficial essays attributed to Alex Thom Ltd: 1922

Unofficial essays attributed to Alex Thom Ltd: 1922 5-line Rialtas overprint on Great Britain Royal Cypher 1d, 2d, 6d (defect) and Block Cypher 1 1/2d, all in a type not used for issued stamps, previously thought to be trials for either Postal Stationery or Insurance Stamps, status unknown, very few examples have survived, apparently on these four values are recorded.
