Charles Whiting: An embossed sample produced by the Congreve process, printed in green, buff and black showing Walter Scott with decorative frame embossed in colourless relief and with ”WHITING PATENTEE” within the frame at left, some minor foxing and a little soiling as is common, fine and attractive. Taken from ”THE ROYAL CAMEO SCRAP BOOK OF EMBOSSED HEADS” published by Kendall & Son.
