1896 (Oct 17) Cover to Piacenza bearing “Umberto” 20c, tied by “Ra Nave Sardegna” battleship cds in bluish black, repeated at top right, backstamped on arrival; diagonal crease passing through the stamp, but a very scarce early usage in 1896.
