Lot 20384 – Two covers sent during the Yugoslavian Provisional Period with no stamps available
1945 Yugoslavian Provisional Period: Two covers sent after the evacuation of the Germans during the period in which no stamps were available, one sent to Split on 1.3.45 when the War in Europe was not over yet, struck with Kotor cds and “Cenzursano” censor’s marking with signature; the other sent from Trogir to Pola, with corresponding departure cds and taxed on front with Italian postage dues 2L strip of five tied at Pola, a territory which was under the control of an allied government and where Italian values were tollerated.
