Lot 20279 – 1941 (Aug 10) Overprinted 1d stationery card from Gaios upfranked for the airmail service

1941 (Aug 10) Overprinted 1d stationery postcard (front side of the reply card) from Gaios to Athens, correctly upfranked for airmail transmission with “Mythology” 20L (5) and two airmail 50L (including 1d for the airmail fee and without adding the tax franking, which was not regularly applied in this later period), tied by Gaios cds’s (Astolfi p. 9), with “3” Corfu censor’s marking in centre. A very rare airmail usage from this locality. Signed Sorani.
