Lot 20274 – 1941 Overprinted 1d stationery postcard to Paris uprated with “Corfu” stamps and returned
1941 (June 15) Overprinted 1d stationery postcard (back side of the reply card) addressed to Paris, uprated for the 5 dracma external rate with “Mythology” 2d (2) and the required tax with “Previdenza” 10L, tied by Kerkyra cds’s, Salonica cds and framed “Verificato/Per Censura” censorship hs at left, with accompanying “3” below, German censorship also tying part of the franking (probably from Vienna), with application of German “Zurück/Retour” & “Umzulässig/Non admis” instructional return markings as certain postal documents (as the postcards) were not admitted to be sent to the occupied France. Some slight wrinkles not affecting the stamps, a very rare usage. Signed Sorani.
