Lot 20254 – Liberation. Three items including rare cover travelled during the signature of the Armistice

Liberation: 1943-44 Three items, including a very interesting franked cover sent by a member of the Italian Navy carried at reduced 25c concessionary rate with Italian cds of Menton dated one day before the signature of the Armistice, showing alongside Italian Navy censorship cachet dated one day after the Armistice, a 1943 usage with French cds of Menton; as well as 1944 stampless postcard with cachets of the Red Cross one month before the Allies took over the territory.
