1872 Maritime cover sent using the DDSG service to Braila, franked with 10b orange-yellow, Carol I with beard, imperforate four margins, light vertical crease right side, otherwise very fine, tied by a crisp “Calafat Sera” cds in blue, “P.D.” boxed in blue to front, endorsed “Cu Vaporu” (by Steamboat); thus traveling down the Danube by DDSG vessel (both origin and destination towns are Danube river harbors) as an exception from the regular land delivery, arrival on reverse, vertical filing crease centrally has split top, however an attractive a charming cover; rare with the manuscript “Cu Vaporu”.Catalogue ref: Michel 27
