1865 (Jun 11) Wrapper sent registered from Brux to London bearing 15kr pair and two 10kr on obverse with a further 10k on reverse, paying double rate and registration, framed “Recomandirt” and “(CROWN) / REGISTERED” along with London Foreign Branch “PRUSSIA / (CROWN) / REGISTERED” handstamp, London arrival, ex Alan Holyoake RDP FRPSL, cert. Dr Ulrich Ferchenbauer (1991).
Note: In the 1850s and into the 1860s the Foreign Branch used handstamps of three different designs on in-coming registered mail from countries with whom Britain had negotiated postal treaties. All contained the name of the country of origin.
