1873 (April 9) Entire sent from La Guaira to Bordeaux, via the more unusual Bremen-Paris route, although endorsed “via Southampton”, with St Thomas transit dated ‘AP 28’, reaching Southampton on May 16 and Bremen May 17 (cds to reverse), with arrival to back dated ‘May 19’; slight wrinkling to edges, otherwise fine and scarce; cert. Asofilca (2010).
