1837 (April 17) Entire letter from Puerto Cabello to Marseilles (France) with oval “Restres & Co./St. Thomas” forwarding agent marking (unrecorded by Rowe) on reverse, carried via Bordeaux by the “Frédéric”, with June 13 cds confirming this via and Marseilles June 18 arrival on back, boxed French “Pays d’Outremer” hs rarely used on mail from the Caribbean, charged with 10 centimes; cert. Meri (2019).
