1pi. vermilion, vertical pair and single, neatly tied on 1877 (4.1) cover to Constantinople, by “POSTE EGIZIANE / UFFIZIO NATANTE / 4 GEN 1877 / ALES” Mailboat datestamp, with another strike alongside, backstamped on arrival in Constantinople, an important maritime showpiece, only two such covers are recorded; cert. RPS (1975); ex G. T. Houston.Note: This Marine T.P.O. functioned on Khedivial Mail Line Steamers from 1875 to 1879 only.
