Oxford: 1841 1d Red pl.38 AE, close to good margins, on 1843 (Nov 28) small envelope from Oxford to Stow tied by black distinctive Oxford late type distinctive Maltese Cross with solid centre, reverse with despatch and Morton-in-Marsh cds, small envelope fault at top right and minor toning, fine and extremely rare, one of only two covers recorded by R&J, illustrated vol.2 p.218.
