1852 (Jul 7) Printed Charles Gilpin propaganda envelope “When all the World is Prepared for War, War Becomes Almost Inevitable”, with several religious quotes and text calling for peace, sent from Huddersfield to Allonby, Cumberland, with 1841 1d red, just about clear margins, tied by “387” numeral, reverse with despatch, Carlisle and Maryport cds, a fine and very rare usage of this envelope.
