David Allen’s wife on the barque ‘Merlin’ during their 4 year whaling voyage in the Indian Ocean franked Mauritius 1863-72 2d strip of 3 + 1s cancelled ‘B64’, routed via London and New York, arrival bs, central 2d with small defect, a rare franking.
