1851 (17.9) Small envelope from Torquay to London and then on to Mauritius, franked GB 1851 1d red tied by ‘B03’ P&O Mail Boat barred oval and ‘MAURITIUS/GPO/SP.17.1851’ crowned circle with unframed black ‘Ship Letter’ alongside, cover faults, unusual and scarce
Rate: The 1d paid the local postage rate within London and readdressed and then forwarded to Mauritius with apparently no surcharged raised
