Description

1861 (Jul 3) Entire from St. Johns the USA with 1860 4d orange-vermilion, with good to large margins on three sides and just clear at right, tied by oval of bars with red despatch and Boston cds alongside, arrival bs, fine and very rare with only six covers bearing this stamp on a cover to the USA known to exist (this being the only one to Boston, the others having Baltimore addresses)
