1875 (July 4). Cover from San Pedro to Teramo, Italy, internal postage 1867-68 5c, France 1870-75 10c pair and 25c (4) paying the transatlantic mail to Marseilles, all tied by “SAN PEDRO” cds’s, “DA BUENOS AIRES/COI POSTALI ITALIANI” hs tying French 25c stamps, Italian “9” due marking also tying part of the French franking, postage dues 40c and 50c, the latter with portion overlapping the edge and missing on back, part of Italian Post paper seal on back, Bs. As. transit and arrival cds’s, endorsed “Paquete Francese” although no ships of the S.G.T.M. were available then, being carried by the “Lavarello” or the “Italo Platense”; despite faults, a very rare usage with only two covers recorded bearing French stamps used from San Pedro; cert.
