ROMANIA – GREECE: 1871 A prepaid cover from Ismail, Romania, to Syros, bearing Romania 50 Bani postage, travelled by Austrian ship by way to Galatz and Constantinople, on arrival it was charged 20L (1871 issue) to pay the domestic rate, tied by Syros c.d.s. (25-4-1871), adjacent is Ismail blue c.d.s. (24/4), both adhesives with good to large margins, a spectacular mixed franking cover of the utmost appeal, a very fine and choice item. (VI. 48)
