1856-58 Post Paid 2d blue, position 3, margins ranging from clear to large, neatly tied by numeral ’12’ of two concentric rings to small envelope (addresses panel cut off) from Grand Savanne to Port Louis, carried at 2d internal rate up to 1/2oz from a village to the capital, struck on front with octagonal ‘GRAND SAVA/AP8.1858’ hs with ‘Sava’ being inserted in manuscript, and ‘MAURITIUS/GPO’ crowned circle, a very rare usage from this rural town
