1855-58 Post Paid 2d. grey-blue, position 3, barely touched in upper right corner, close to large margins in other respects, tied to folded entire letter by numeral ‘1’in two concentric rings and octagonal ‘MAHEBOURG/MR.28.1856’ hs, showing usage of the internal 2d rate for delivery of letters from a rural post town to Port Louis not exceeding 1/2 oz, with on recto annotation ‘Post Paid‘ and Mauritius crowned circle at lower left, one of only six covers recorded from this locality, this most rarely exhibiting the stamp tied by the village hs
