1873, registered cover of 17/02/1873 from Alexandria to Constantine (Algeria), franked with a Yvert & Tellier no. 33 “Empire laureated” 5 franc grey + Y&T nos. 56, 58 in a strip of three, all neatly tied by the GC cancel “5080.” Dated postmark “ALEXANDRIE / ÉGYPTE / 17 FEVR. 73” + “PD” and “Paquebot de la Méditerranée.” Arrival postmark “CONSTANTINE / ALGÉRIE / 2 MARS 73.” Very rare cover.Provenance: Emile Antonini, Samir Fikry.
