1860 (May) Envelope sent to England, initially bearing strip of four GB 1858-79 2d blue pl.7, then covered by Ceylon 1857-59 1d blue, 2d green and 6d purple-brown (leaving one GB 2d showing), tied by oval bar obliterators, endorsed “Via Marseilles,” reverse with “GALLE / STEAMER LETTER,” Alcester and Bromsgrove cds, an extraordinary and unique franking, cert.
