1842 Envelope ex Forbes correspondence addressed to London from Bermuda where two 1d blacks applied lettered PJ (margins all round showing portions of adjoining stamp at top) and PF (margins in places), endorsed “H.M.S. Illustrious Bermuda Feb 4 1842”, the left hand stamp being tied by ‘a’ of Bermuda proving stamps were applied in Bermuda, cancelled on arrival in Portsmouth with light Maltese Crosses, small cover tear at top and faults to backflap, otherwise fine and fascinating cover
