1888 (Jan 23) Official Avis de Reception en Retour envelope sent to Berlin with thimble despatch cds and “R” in circle for registration, reverse with Aden, Steamer Point and Berlin label, the only recorded example of this envelope

Note: This envelope would accompany the original “AR” mailing & a Zanzibar form for acknowledging receipt by the addressee to be returned to the Zanzibar sending individual. This item is displayed in DuBro’s reference “Zanzibar’s postal history legacy” figure 4.37
