1848 Serres to Syra, Greece. Carried (privately?) to Dadanelles where the letter was postmarked “Dardanelles Postes-November 6, 1848” by the French P.O. Syra November 13 arrival on reverse. Disinfected by slitting and fumigating, possibly on the island od Syra. Manuscript “40” lepta postage due. Catalogue
