1938-49 George VI 1r, BW printing on ordinary paper, variety “Battered A”, in a vertical pair used with three 20c on airmail cover to New York, tied 30 OC 45 cds, small bit of red (censor?) ink touches variety stamp, extremely rare on cover, dated during the correct period.
