1863 Wmk Crown CC 1d on 6d lake with SURCHARGE OMITTED variety, unused, very fine, one of the rarest stamps of St. Helena and considered to be the finest of the twelve examples recorded (SG £21’000)
Note: Because the fourth application of the forme had been one row too high, it is thought that the fifth forme was also applied one row too high, leaving the bottom (row 20) without surcharge, creating the 6d lake
