1882 (Feb 22) OHMS 1/4a postal stationery card with “NAGA EXPEDITION” violet hs on reverse, redirected several times, taped tear, a rare campaign item
Note: In 1882, Captain Jenkins led the expedition through the Kucheha and Angami territories and fought the Nagas with 700 Manipuri troops and 800 coolis Catalogue
