AHWAZ: 1917 (Dec 27) Envelope from Ahwaz to Scotland with I.E.F. 1914 1/2a green pair and 2a purple uncancelled on obverse, reverse with Ahwaz cds (SG type Z5) of the civil post office, with partial “PASSED CENSOR MEF 12” circular hs adjacent and endorsed “On Field Service”, some foxing, rare, according to Jal Cooper in India Used Abroad, “I have yet to see an India I.E.F.
