1860 (Feb 12) Mourning envelope from SANDSPITS (datelined on letter) to the USA with 1857-69 1d dull vermilion, 2d green and 4d pale blue, mixed margins, cancelled by manuscript crosses with manuscript “Spring Bay / 12-2-60” Postmaster date at right, with franking paying the 6d Ship Letter rate plus 1d for posting a letter at the Receiving House, stamps partially lifted, slightly soiled, an attractive and very rare from this origin especially with this franking and ms postmark Catalogue ref: 28,31,36
