1853 4d Orange, plate 1, used block of eight, worn impression, pos.5/24, touched in places, “58” numerals of Waterloo Point, faults incl. some creasing and a small tear at top left, better condition than expected for a multiple of this size A very rare multiple with only three blocks of eight of pl.1 known (which is the largest multiple), this being the only one of the worn impression according to Sato Provenance: Earl (1980 lot 2047 CHF3’200)
